Shraddha Kapoor Injury news: Aashiqui 2 actress Shraddha Kapoor suffered an injury on the sets of her upcoming biopic Eetha, resulting in a fracture in her left leg, according to sources.

In the film, Kapoor plays the role of Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar, the legendary Lavani performer. The biopic is directed by Laxman Utekar.

She reportedly sustained the injury while shooting a Lavani dance sequence. Shraddha had begun filming earlier this month in Aundhewadi near Nashik, Maharashtra.

Lavani, a folk dance form famous in Maharashtra, is known for its fast-paced beats, energetic movements, and quick tempo, which often require intense footwork.

Sources also claim that Shraddha has gained 15 kg to portray the younger version of Vithabai authentically.

Following the injury, the shoot has been halted for two weeks. Initially, Shraddha wanted to continue shooting close-up scenes, but as the pain worsened, filming had to be stopped. The crew is expected to resume production once she has fully recovered.
