Hyderabad: Actor Vijay Deverakonda has landed in legal trouble after a complaint was filed against him under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act for allegedly making remarks that hurt the sentiments of the tribal community.

The complaint was filed by Nenavath Ashok Kumar Naik, the State President of the Joint Action Committee of Tribal Communities, who alleged that Deverakonda made offensive statements during a pre-release event for his upcoming film Retro. According to the complaint, the actor’s comments were derogatory and amounted to an insult to the tribal community.

The case has been registered at Raidurgam Police Station under the jurisdiction of Hyberabad Police, and a formal investigation is currently in progress.
