Three bike-borne masked assailants, on Sunday morning, opened fire at the residence of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav in Gurugram, Haryana.
The incident reportedly took place between 5:30 and 6 AM in the morning. More than a dozen rounds of bullets were fired at the residence.
In a video shared by the news agency, ANI, a bullet has pierced through a glass door. Multiple rounds have hit the roof of a room inside the residence.
According to ANI, the firing took place on the second floor of the building.
The house falls under the jurisdiction of the Police Station Sector-56, Gurugram. Currently, police personnel are present at the spot. As per preliminary investigation, three persons riding a motorcycle carried out the attack.
The influencer was not present at home at the time of the attack; however, his caretaker and some family members were present inside. None have been injured in the incident, according to a report by India Today.
Investigations are underway, and a legal action is being initiated.
"We were sleeping when the attackers came on a motorcycle and started firing. There were three masked men. One was sitting on the bike, while the other two stepped down and opened fire at the house. They fired around 25 to 30 rounds and fled the scene,” YouTuber's father is quoted as saying in the India Today report.
“Elvish did not receive any threats before the incident. He is currently out of the city for his work," he added.
