‘Traitor' Remark Was Meant for Shah Rukh Khan, Not Salman Khan: UP Minister
He added, “Shah Rukh Khan is a traitor and there is no doubt about it.”
Bollywood news: Uttar Pradesh BJP Minister Thakur Raghuraj Singh has issued a clarification on his statement in which he had called Bollywood star Salman Khan a "traitor" and demanded that he be "hanged".
In a video statement issued by Thakur Raghuraj Singh, he said that his remarks were meant for another Bollywood star, Shah Rukh Khan, and not Salman Khan.
He said, “Salman Khan is a good actor. I meant it for Shah Rukh Khan. Shah Rukh provided financial support to Pakistan during difficult times. He talks about mob lynching in India. I had taken Shah Rukh Khan’s name. Salman Khan’s name was taken by mistake.”
He added, “Shah Rukh Khan is a traitor and there is no doubt about it.”
Earlier in the video, Thakur Raghuraj Singh could be seen calling Salman Khan a traitor and asking him to go to Pakistan. He also said that Salman Khan earns from Hindus but supports Muslims, and therefore called him a traitor.
He went on to appeal to the public to avoid watching Salman Khan’s films and even called for his execution.
