Actor & Director Satish Kaushik Passes Away at 67

MUMBAI: Famous Bollywood actor and director Satish Kaushik passed away on Thursday (March 9). He breathed his last at the age of 67. Paying tribute to his friend and colleague, Anupam Kher took to Twitter and wrote (In Hindi) (Roughly Translated), "I know "death is the ultimate truth of this world!" But I never thought in my dreams that I will write this about my best friend #SatishKaushik while I am alive. Such a sudden end to friendship of 45 years!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!" 

However, the cause of Satish Kaushik's demise is not clear yet. Born on 13 April 1965 in Haryana, Kaushik was a famous Bollywood actor, comedian, script writer, director and producer. He did his schooling in Delhi. After graduating from Kirori Mal College, he joined the National School of Drama (NSD). In 1985, he married Shashi Kaushik. Their son died at the age of 2 years.

Notably, Satish made his debut in Bollywood in 1983. Before this, he worked in theatre. Satish got recognition from the movie 'Mr. India' in 1987. He played the role of 'Pappu Pager' in Deewana-Mastana in 1997. Satish received the Filmfare Award for Best Comedian in 1990 for 'Ram Lakhan' and in 1997 for 'Sajan Chale Sasural'.
