Urfi Javed Arrest Video Fake Latest News: Mumbai police have initiated legal proceedings against social media influencer Urfi Javed after she was accused of tarnishing their reputation by sharing a misleading video of a fake arrest. The viral video purported to show Urfi Javed being apprehended by the Mumbai Police in a case related to obscenity. However, the police clarified that the video was deceptive, and it involved the misuse of their insignia and uniform.

In response to the false portrayal, Mumbai Police announced on social media platform X that a criminal case had been registered against those responsible for the misleading video. The case was filed at Oshiwara Police Station under sections 171, 419, 500, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Section 171 of the IPC pertains to the "wearing of a garb or carrying a token used by a public servant with fraudulent intent." Meanwhile, section 419 addresses cheating by personation.

While the legal process is underway, it was revealed that the individual impersonating an inspector in the video has been arrested, and the vehicle used in the deceptive video has been confiscated. Mumbai Police is committed to upholding its reputation and ensuring that the misuse of its insignia and uniform is dealt with firmly and legally. Further investigations into the incident are ongoing to ascertain the full extent of the deception.
