Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar Becomes Bollywood Box-Office Sensation, Nears INR 1200 Crore Worldwide

Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh’s spy action thriller, directed by Aditya Dhar and co-starring Akshaye Khanna, has created Hindi cinema box-office history with an unprecedented run, earning over INR 1160 crore worldwide and nearing the INR 1200 crore mark within its first month. Dhurandhar’s success comes despite being released only in Hindi, a strategy rare for films chasing pan-India audiences.

Trade analysts and box-office trackers report that Dhurandhar has achieved the highest global gross for a Hindi film. It has surpassed the original Hindi versions of Jawan and Pushpa 2. It has also become the first Bollywood film to cross INR 700 crore domestically, overtaking Jawan’s INR 640 crore India net total.

The film maintained extraordinary momentum, earning double-digit daily collections for 28 consecutive days. This feat is unmatched in recent Hindi releases, observers noted. In its fourth week it still earned over INR 100 crore, smashing the previous benchmark set by Pushpa 2 from five languages.

According to trade sources, additional records include the most tickets sold on BookMyShow for a Bollywood film, reflecting consistent nationwide demand, and an ongoing streak of record-breaking that industry watchers call historic for content-driven cinema.

Experts said that Dhurandhar’s run underscores Ranveer Singh’s box-office pull and Aditya Dhar’s directorial ascent in commercial Hindi film.
