Why summer vacation holidays in schools didn't extend in Punjab?

Punjab School summer vacation holidays latest news: Due to severe heatwaves earlier this year, government schools in Punjab decided to start their summer vacations earlier than usual. Originally scheduled to end on June 30, there was speculation about extending the holidays due to the prolonged hot weather.

However, despite ongoing heatwave alerts from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the decision to prolong the holidays was not taken. The IMD stopped issuing new heatwave alerts, noting a slight decrease in temperatures and predicting rainfall from June 28 onwards, which was expected to bring relief from the intense heat.

With these weather changes, the likelihood of extending summer vacations diminished, and schools reopened today on July 1 as planned. The improved weather conditions provided much-needed relief from the heat, allowing students to return to school comfortably.

Parents and students were advised to keep an eye on official announcements from school authorities regarding the reopening schedule. As anticipated, the latest meteorological data confirmed cooler temperatures and rain, ensuring a more pleasant start to the new school term.
