A three-person preliminary inquiry committee has been established to look into the anomalies in the "Sugam Darshan" system at the Chintpurni temple in the Una region of Himachal Pradesh on Friday. On August 8, 2023, a paid system called "Sugam Darshan" was implemented to make it quick and simple to enter the Chintpurni temple for worship. It includes travel assistance, group limits, and special service fees.

On July 19, the anomalies were discovered when police filed a formal complaint (FIR) in response to a complaint to guarantee systemic transparency. Only 23 transactions occurred that day, yet the system showed 88, according to the research. The extra entries are thought to have been caused by an unauthorized user abusing login credentials and passwords. According to officials on Friday, the temple trust has replaced the employees running the "Sugam Darshan" system with a new team and formed a three-person panel led by the extra deputy commissioner of Una to look into the situation.

After confirming the facts and establishing accountability, the committee has been instructed to provide a report with the required recommendations within seven days. The "Sugam Darshan" method is being strengthened in terms of technical security and transparency, according to a news statement from Amb SDM and assistant commissioner of the Mata Chintpurni Temple Trust, Paras Agarwal. Since the system's inauguration in August 2023, service fees of more than Rs 12 crore have been received; these funds are being utilized to fund public welfare projects and the development of facilities for devotees, according to Agarwal.

The Trust also made it clear that the cost of the "Sugam Darshan" pass is a required service charge for the provision of the facility rather than a gift or giving to the temple. It stated that donations received at the temple are kept in separate accounts from the service price.
