T20 World Champion India Returns to Belfast for First Series Since 2007

India, the reigning T20 World Champion, will return to Belfast for a two-match Twenty20 series against Ireland on 26 and 28 June 2026. This will be the first time the Indian team plays in the Northern Irish city since 2007, making it a historic visit.

The announcement comes after confirmation by Ireland’s High Performance Director Graham West. BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia noted that India has toured Ireland three times in the last eight years in 2018, 2022, and 2023, but this marks the team’s first match in Belfast in nearly two decades.

The T20 series is part of India’s busy summer schedule. Before heading to England, the team will face Afghanistan in a one-Test and three-match ODI series. India will then continue its tour in England with five T20s and three ODIs from 1 to 19 July 2026.
