Ayodhya: SP MP Awadhesh Prasad extend greetings on Eid ul-Fitr; Thousands offer namaz
The sacred occasion is also accompanied by pleasant weather, especially in northern India.
SP MP Awadhesh Prasad on Saturday extended greetings to everyone in Ayodhya and beyond on the occasion of Eid ul-Fitr.
Speaking to News agency ANI, Prasad said, “Eid is a festival of joy, harmony, and brotherhood. In the city of Lord Shri Ram, Ayodhya, thousands of people are offering namaz at the Eidgah. I extend my congratulations to everyone.”
“This festival is of peace, tranquility, and brotherhood, and accordingly, this celebration is being observed across the country. On behalf of the Samajwadi Party, I congratulate everyone,” he added.
Meanwhile, Eid prayers are being offered in all mosques, including Eidgah in Ayodhya.
Ayodhya SP Chakrapani Tripathi, told ANI that "Following the conclusion of the month of Ramzan, the festival of Eid is being celebrated everywhere today. Eid prayers are being offered in all mosques since early morning. After that, most devotees are arriving at the Eidgah here and performing prayers smoothly.”
“For this, the entire Eidgah area has been divided into four sectors... The whole area has been covered with CCTV... The entire area is under surveillance,” he added.
Namaz is being offered in large numbers in Eidgahs across the country. The sacred occasion is also accompanied by pleasant weather, especially in northern India.
