Jewar Airport Under Enhanced Security Ahead of Inauguration, Police Deploy Multi-Layer Measures
Ahead of the inauguration of the Noida International Airport, security has been significantly tightened in the Jewar area, with authorities putting multiple measures in place to ensure smooth arrangements. The heightened alert comes as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to visit Noida on Sunday to review preparations at the site.
In view of the Chief Minister’s visit and the possibility of the Prime Minister attending the inauguration, police officials have stepped up vigilance across the region. Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh held a review meeting with senior officers and issued necessary instructions to strengthen security and maintain strict monitoring.
As part of the arrangements, five temporary check posts have been established to enhance surveillance. Three of these are located within the airport premises, while two have been set up along the Expressway and nearby areas to monitor movement. These check posts will remain operational until the conclusion of the inauguration ceremony.
Seven newly equipped PRV and PCR vehicles have been deployed to strengthen surveillance in and around the airport zone. One unit has been assigned to patrol the Yamuna Expressway stretch between the Jewar toll plaza and Faleda cut, while the remaining vehicles are monitoring key access routes to the airport and adjoining areas.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Greater Noida) Dr. Praveen Ranjan Singh stated that all personnel have been directed to maintain a high level of vigilance, adding that strict action will be taken in case of any lapse in duty.
