Eid-ul-Fitr 2026: As today marks the end of the holy month of Ramzan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, and other leaders extended greetings to people across the country.
PM Modi, in a post on his X handle, wrote, “Best wishes on Eid-ul-Fitr. May this day further brotherhood and kindness all around. May everyone be happy and healthy. Eid Mubarak!”
Rahul Gandhi, in a video message on his social media handles, said, “Eid Mubarak! Wishing you and your loved ones joy, prosperity, and good health.”
Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge extended warm greetings “all my fellow citizens on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.”
“Eid is a celebration of compassion, generosity, and togetherness. It reminds us of the strength found in our shared humanity and the beauty of our diverse, pluralistic society. May this blessed occasion bring peace, prosperity, and inspire us all to extend kindness and service to those around us. Eid Mubarak!,” he added.
President Droupadi Murmu also expressed her “Heartfelt congratulations to all fellow countrymen, especially Muslim sisters and brothers, on the blessed occasion of Eid al-Fitr.”
“This festival teaches us lessons in self-restraint, service, charity, and compassion for the deprived classes. Let us, on this occasion, resolve to strengthen our society and country,” she added.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also extended greetings, saying, “May the spirit of peace harmony and compassion be furthered all around. I also pray for everyone’s well-being, happiness and good health. Eid Mubarak!”
Meanwhile, Home Minister Amit Shah is yet to make a post on the occasion.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have also extended their greetings on the festive occasion of Navroz today.
“May this day strengthen our unity and open doors to good health, prosperity, and joy for everyone,” Shah wrote in a post on his X handle.
